Abstract

Printer which prints, as a hard copy, various static images such as an image picked up by a video camera or a television picture image, and, more particularly, a printer which is arranged such that an ink ribbon including a subliming dye is laid over a sheet of a photographic paper, and a pattern of the subliming dye according to data on an image is transferred to the photographic paper by heating, thereby printing the image. The printer includes a platen (2) which holds the photographic paper (1); a ribbon (3) which has a predetermined subliming dye portion and a cover film (13) which are formed according to a predetermined arrangement; a multi-element heat-sensitive head (4) which is adapted to heat the subliming dye portion of the ribbon (3) pressed against the photographic paper (1) on the platen (2) according to image data, in order to transfer the subliming dye portion to the photographic paper (1), thereby effecting printing; and a heat-sensitive head (19) with a single heating portion which extends over the entire width thereof and thermocompression-bonds the cover film (13) to the photographic paper (1) when the photographic paper (1) and the cover film (13) are pressed against each other on the platen (2). Thus it is possible to easily and reliably lay the cover film (13) over the photographic paper (1), reduce the size of the apparatus as a whole, and simplify the construction thereof.

L'invention a trait à une imprimante pouvant imprimer, sur papier, différentes images statiques telles qu'une image prise par une caméra vidéo ou une image de télévision et, notamment, à une imprimante agencée de sorte qu'un ruban d'encre comprenant un colorant à sublimation est déposé sur une feuille de papier photographique, un motif de colorant à sublimation correspondant aux données d'une image étant transféré sur le papier photographique par transfert thermique, imprimant ainsi l'image. L'imprimante comprend un plateau (2) sur lequel repose le papier photographique (1); un ruban (3) possédant une partie prédéterminée de colorant à sublimation et un film de couverture (13) formé suivant un agencement prédéterminé. Une tête thermosensible à éléments multiples (4) conçue pour chauffer la partie de colorant à sublimation du ruban (3) comprimé contre le papier photographique (1) sur le plateau (2) suivant les données d'image, afin de transférer la partie de colorant à sublimation sur le papier photographique (1), effectuant ainsi l'impression; une tête thermosensible (19) pourvue d'une partie chauffante unique qui s'étend sur toute sa largeur et soude par thermocompression le film de couverture (13) sur le papier photographique (1) lorsque ce dernier et le film de couverture (13) sont comprimés l'un contre l'autre sur le plateau (2). Il est ainsi possible de déposer aisément et d'une manière fiable le film de couverture (13) sur le papier photographique (1), de réduire l'encombrement du dispositif et d'en simplifier la construction.
