Method for producing elongate articles of which the moisture contained is lower than about 14 per cent by weight and is particularly comprised between 11 and 13 per cent by weight approximately, wherein the elongate article coming out a press-head (3) in the form of flexible, resilient and humid paste threads and hanging up to the final desiccation passes through air conditioning zones which are differently heated, and wherein the elongate article, after the desiccation step, is cooled and/or rendered undeformable in a subsequent air-conditioning zone (23). The elongate article coming out of the press-head is heated in a first air-conditioning zone (12, 13, 14, 15, 16) in the fastest possible way, however in a time duration exceeding ten minutes and under the influence of a heating medium with a relative moisture ranging from 60 and 80 per cent approximately up to a temperature exceeding 80oC approximately before being dried in a second air-conditioning zone (17) under the influence of a desiccating medium at a temperature exceeding 80oC approximately and a relative moisture ranging from 65 to 85 per cent approximately, to be brought down to a moisture lower than 18 per cent by weight approximately or, in order to avoid undesirable reactions to about more than 80oC in the first place with a moisture content lower than about 80oC by weight and finally, to a lower temperature, with a final moisture lower than 14 per cent by weight approximately. Said method has to be implemented in an exceptionally rapid way and it provides products of high qualitative value. Particularly it may be conveniently applied to a single stage desiccating unit for the desiccation of elongate articles.

Procédé de fabrication d'articles longs, dont la teneur en humidité est inférieure à environ 14 % en poids et se situe en particulier entre environ 11 et 13 % en poids, où l'article long quittant une tête de presse (3) sous la forme de fils de pâte souples, plastiques et humides, et suspendu jusqu'à dessication finale passe par des zones de climatisation chauffées de manière différente, et où l'article long, après achèvement du processus de dessication, est refroidi et/ou rendu indéformable dans une zone de climatisation suivante (23). L'article long quittant la tête de presse est chauffé dans une première zone de climatisation (12, 13, 14, 15, 16) le plus rapidement possible, mais pendant plus de 10 minutes et sous l'influence d'un milieu de chauffage avec une humidité relative située entre environ 60 et 80 %, jusqu'à une température supérieure à environ 80oC, avant d'être séché dans une seconde zone de climatisation (17) sous l'influence d'un milieu dessicateur d'une température supérieure à environ 80oC et d'une humidité relative située entre environ 65 et 85 %, pour être ramené à une humidité inférieure à environ 14 % en poids ou, afin d'éviter des réactions indésirables à environ plus de 80oC, tout d'abord à une teneur en humidité inférieure à environ 18 % en poids et enfin, à une température moindre, à l'humidité finale inférieure à environ 14 % en poids. Ce procédé doit être exécuté de manière exceptionnellement rapide et il fournit des produits de grande valeur qualitative. En particulier, il s'applique avantageusement à un dessicateur à un étage en vue de la dessication des articles longs.
