Abstract:
(EN) Apparatus and methods for using the electrical bioimpedance measurements to monitor parameters associated with blood flow in a segment of body tissue. The invention eliminates the effect of respiration from the thoracic impedance as a function of time to provide a signal indicative of pulsatile thoracic impedance changes continuously. The pulsatile thoracic impedance signal is processed to produce signals indicative of the ventricular ejection time and the maximum rate of change of pulsatile thoracic impedance which are used in a microprocessor (54) to calculate the volume of the blood pumped per stroke according to an improved systolic upstroke equation.
(FR) Appareil et procédés utilisant les mesures de bio-impédance électriques pour contrôler les paramètres associés au flux sanguin dans un segment de tissu du corps. L"invention élimine l"effet de respiration provenant de l"impédance toracique en fonction du temps pour produire en permanence un signal représentatif des changements d"impédance toracique pulsatile. Le signal d"impédance toracique pulsatile est traité pour produire des signaux représentant le temps d"éjection ventriculaire et le taux maximum de variations de l"impédance toracique pulsatile qui sont utilisés dans un microprocesseur (54) pour calculer le volume systolique de sang pompé selon une équation améliorée du volume systolique.
