Abstract:
(EN) A shut-off valve which has a body (20) containing a seat (22) and a through passageway. A plug (32) is attached to a stem (36) which is spring loaded in a retracted position disposed above the valve in a housing (46). A severable link (70) is connected to the end of the stem (36) opposite the plug (32) with an arm (60) further extending the assembly terminating with a weight (68) on top. The arm (60) also contains a ball swivel (64) within a seat (66). Upon receiving external vibratory oscillation, such as a seismic shock wave, the weight (68) rotates axially about the swivel breaking the link (70) allowing the plug (32) attached to the system (36) to be extended by the spring (58) into the valve seat (22) blocking flow of fluid through the passageway in the valve body.
(FR) Une vanne de coupure possède un corps (20) contenant un siège (22) et un passage traversant. Un bouchon (32) est fixé à une tige (36) qui est armée par un ressort dans une position rétractée au-dessus de la vanne dans une enceinte (46). Une liaison sectionnable (70) est connectée à l"extrémité de la tige (36) opposée au bouchon (32), un bras (60) prolongeant encore l"assemblage qui se termine par un poids (68) à son sommet. Le bras (60) comporte également une rotule (64) dans un siège (66). Lorsque le poids (68) reçoit une oscillation vibratoire extérieure telle qu"une onde de choc sismique il tourne axialement autour de la rotule cassant la liaison (70) et permettant au bouchon (32) fixé à la tige (36) de s"allonger par l"action du ressort (58) dans le siège (22) de la vanne interrompant ainsi l"écoulement de fluide au travers du passage dans le corps de la vanne.
