Abstract:
(EN) An input terminal of a PWM converter (1) is connected via a reactor L to an AC power source AC, and a capacitor C and a load (11) are conected to a DC output terminal of the converter (1). The apparent phase of a power source voltage E is altered in response to the difference between a DC voltage VO detected across the capacitor C and a command voltage VS, and a control signal from the converter (1) is shaped with the altered voltage as a reference. When the detected voltage VO is larger than the command voltage VS, the converter is controlled to operate with a delay power factor, and the AC voltage V at the input terminal of the converter (1) becomes smaller than the power source voltage E. As a result, the DC voltage VO can maintain a value smaller than the command voltage VS.
