Abstract:
(EN) A carburetor which is responsive to an operator controlled throttle includes a fuel metering and dispersion system for optimally mixing a fuel with air in preparation for the injection into the intake manifold of an internal combustion engine. The carburetor includes a housing with air-fuel mixing passageway extending vertically therethrough and a fuel dispersion bar (200) transverse to the air-fuel mixing passagway with the plurality of fuel dispersion openings (210) therein for injecting fuel into the air-fuel mixing passageway transverse to the flow of air. A fuel pressure controlled spool valve (212) in the dispersion bar varies the amount by which the fuel dispersion openings are opened in response to the volume of fuel entering the dispersion bar. Venturi plates (24, 26) upstream of the fuel dispersion bar are pivotally attached for variably opening and closing the air-fuel passageway. Throttle valve means (42, 44) are pivotally mounted in the air-fuel mixing passageway adjacent the fuel dispersion openings for variably opening and closing the space between the fuel dispersion openings and the throttle valves. A metering valve assembly (78) is linked to the venturi plates for variably regulating the flow of fuel from a fuel reservoir into the dispersion bar so that the amount of fuel metered into the dispersion bar increases as the space between the venturi plates increases according to a predefined determined metering criteria.
(FR) Un carburateur sensible à la commande d'un étrangleur de la part de l'opérateur comprend un système de dosage et de dispersion de carburant permettant d'obtenir un mélange optimal du carburant et de l'air avant l'injection dans le collecteur d'admission d'un moteur à combustion interne. Le carburateur comprend un logement avec un passage de mélange air-carburant s'étendant verticalement au travers du logement et une barre de dispersion de carburant (200) transversale au passage de mélange d'air-carburant et pourvue d'une pluralité d'ouvertures de dispersion de carburant (210) permettant d'injecter le carburant dans le passage de mélange d'air-carburant transversal au sens d'écoulement de l'air. Un distributeur (212) commandé par la pression du carburant dans la barre de dispersion fait varier l'amplitude des ouvertures de dispersion de carburant en réponse au volume de carburant pénétrant dans la barre de dispersion. Les plaques venturi (24, 26) en amont de la barre de dispersion de carburant sont fixées de manière pivotante pour ouvrir et fermer de manière variable le passage air-carburant. Des organes de vanne d'étranglement (42, 44) sont montés de manière pivotante dans le passage de mélange air-carburant à proximité des ouvertures de dispersion de carburant pour ouvrir et fermer de manière variable l'espace entre les ouvertures de dispersion de carburant et les vannes d'étranglement. Un assemblage de vannes de dosage (78) est lié aux plaques venturi pour régler de manière variable l'écoulement du carburant allant du réservoir de carburant à la barre de dispersion de sorte que la quantité de carburant dosé dans la barre de dispersion augmente au fur et à mesure que l'écartement entre les plaques venturi augmente selon des critères de dosage définis au préalable.
