Abstract
(EN) Method for automatically checking microprocessor-controlled electric apparatus (10) in motor vehicles, capable of performing predetermined functions with respect to preset emitting signals and memorize a data word corresponding to a detected fault. In order to signal the error, the data word is converted into a sequence of signals or into a voltage by measuring the voltage, preferably by installing a diagnostic intermediary plug (42) between the transmission wires and the electric apparatus (10). A voltmeter (47) displaying said sequence of signals or said voltage may be connected to that checking plug. To this effect, a predetermined voltage is affected to each predetermined type of fault. It is thus possible to give a diagnostic as complete as desired of a complex system by means of a simple voltmeter (47), commercially available.
(FR) Procédé de contrôle automatique d'appareillages électriques (10) commandés par des microprocesseurs dans des véhicules à moteur, pouvant exécuter des fonctions prédéterminées par rapport à des signaux émetteurs établis et mémoriser une donnée élémentaire correspondant à un défaut détecté. Pour signaler l'erreur, la donnée élémentaire est convertie en une suite de signaux ou en une tension, en mesurant la tension, de préférence en montant une fiche intermédiaire (42) de diagnostic entre les câbles de transmission et l'appareillage électrique (10). Un voltmètre (47) affichant cette suite de signaux ou cette tension peut être raccordé à cette fiche de contrôle. L'on attribue à cet effet une tension déterminée à chaque type déterminé de défaut. Il est ainsi possible d'effectuer un diagnostic aussi complet qu'on le souhaite d'un système complexe à l'aide d'un simple voltmètre (47) disponible dans le commerce.
