Abstract
(EN) Magnetic recording medium having a magnetic layer containing ferromagnetic alloy powder as a magnetic recording medium for recording short wavelengths, for example, in a video tape recorder. The relative surface area BET of the ferromagnetic alloy powder is set to larger than 45m2/g with the coercive force of the magnetic layer being higher than 1000 Oe., and the central recording wavelength may be high density recording less than 1 $g(u)m, thereby enabling low noise and high power recording and reproduction.
