A numerical control system wherein the coordinates (X, Y, Z) designating the position of the top of a tool and the vectors (I, J, K) designating the direction of the shaft of the tool are read by a tape reader (102), a carry-data calculating circuit (104) calculates the rectangular coordinates (x, y, z) expressing the position of the center of rotation of the tool and the spherical coordinates (b, c) expressing the angular position of the rotation of the tool by using the above values, and the length l of the tool preset by a dial (103) or the like, a pulse-distribution circuit (105) converts thus obtained coordinate values into the amounts of movement in a pulse form in the directions of all the axes, and then the obtained pulse-signals drive servo motors (107X) to (107C) through servo circuits (106X) to (106C) to drive the tool or work table to a desired working position.

Système de commande numérique dans lequel les coordonnées (X, Y, Z) indiquant la position du sommet d'un outil et les vecteurs (I, J, K) indiquant la direction de l'axe de l'outil sont lus par un lecteur de bande (102), un circuit (104) de calcul de données d'acheminement calcule les coordonnées rectangulaires (x, y, z) indiquant la position du centre de rotation de l'outil et les coordonnées sphériques (b, c) indiquant la position angulaire de la rotation de l'outil en utilisant les valeurs ci-dessus, et la longueur l de l'outil réglée à l'avance au moyen d'un cadran (103) ou analogue, un circuit (105) de distribution d'impulsions convertit les valeurs des coordonnées ainsi obtenues en des quantités de mouvements sous forme d'impulsions dans les directions de tous les axes, les signaux d'impulsions ainsi obtenus commandant ensuite des servo moteurs (107X) à (107C) au travers des circuits d'asservissement (106X) à (106C) de manière à entraîner l'outil ou la table de travail jusqu'à une position d'usinage désirée.
