Abstract

Apparatus for digitally displaying inclination of a lift truck mast includes an inertial inclination sensor (A) carried by the mast (11) and a digital display module (B) for operator viewing remote from the mast. The inclination sensor includes a disc pendulum (27) pivoted for damping its movement, the disc having a wand (48) extending from it for exaggerated movement about the pivot. A plurality of light responsive devices (59) are provided for detecting the position of actual mast inclination with respect to a true vertical gravitational plumb line. A logic interconnected with these devices decodes signals resulting from a predetermined pattern of illumination on them produced by the wand (48) representative of the mast (11) inclination, providing an encoded signal which is converted to display drive signals for driving a plurality of digital display devices (76, 77, 79) of numeric readout, providing operator display of the actual degrees and increments of degrees of mast inclination from the vertical plumb line.

Appareil permettant l'affichage numérique de l'inclinaison d'un véhicule de levage, qui comprend un capteur d'inclinaison à inertie (A) porté par le mât (11) et un module d'affichage numérique (B) permettant une observation depuis une position éloignée du mât. Le capteur d'inclinaison comprend un pendule à disque (27) monté en pivotement en vue de l'amortissement de son mouvement, le disque étant pourvu d'un bras (48) assurant une exagération du mouvement autour du pivot. Une pluralité de dispositifs sensibles à la lumière (59) sont prévus afin de détecter la position réelle du mât en inclinaison par rapport à un fil à plomb. Un système logique connecté à ces dispositifs décode des signaux résultant d'un motif prédéterminé d'éclairage de ces dispositifs produit par le bras (48) représentant l'inclinaison du mât (11) et produisant un signal codé qui est converti en signaux d'activation de l'affichage en vue de l'activation d'une pluralité de dispositifs d'affichage digital (76, 77, 79) à lecture numérique, qui indiquent à l'opérateur l'inclinaison du mât en degrés et sa progression.
