(EN)Physiological electrode systems utilize a single pair of electrodes elements (31, 33) to convey signals for monitoring stimulating and treating the patient. The monitoring instrument (35), the stimulating instrument (39) and the therapeutic instrument (37) may be connected to the electrode elements (31, 33) separately or in various combinations. Preferably the electrode elements (31, 33) are disposable and are connected to the instruments (35, 37, 39) by appropriate interrelated cables (41,43,47,49,51) to permit individual or simultaneous use of the instruments without adverse operation. An electrode element structure (Fig. 4) employing layers of tin (71) and stannous chloride (72) greatly benefits system operation. A method of locating the electrodes (31, 33) for defibrillation is also included (Figs. 16-17).
(FR)Systemes d'electrodes physiologiques utilisant une paire simple d'elements d'electrodes (31, 33) servant a transporter des signaux pour la surveillance, la stimulation et le traitement du patient. L'instrument de surveillance (35), l'instrument de stimulation (39) et l'instrument therapeutique (37) peuvent etre connectes aux elements d'electrodes (31, 33) separement ou selon plusieurs combinaisons. De preference les elements d'electrodes (31, 33) sont jetables et sont connectes aux instruments (35, 37, 39) au moyen de cables (41, 43, 47, 49, 51) appropries et en communication de maniere a permettre une utilisation individuelle ou simultanee des instruments sans fonctionnement defectueux. Une structure d'elements d'electrodes (Fig. 4) utilisant des couches de zinc (71) et un chlorure stanneux (72) ameliore considerablement le fonctionnement du systeme. Un procede permettant de placer les electrodes (31, 33) pour la defibrillation est aussi decrit Fig. 16-17.
