(EN)A frictional pad for a disk brake in which a number of holes (22) are opened at a back plate (21) formed of ceramic material and the holes (22) are filled with heat insulators (23) formed of resin or the like. Since the back plate (21) is formed of ceramic material having better heat insulating properties than a metal and the holes (22) are filled with the heat insulators (23), the heat insulating property of the frictional pad can be improved. The heat insulator may also be a lining material (24) bonded to one side surface of the back plate (21), and, in this case, the lining material (24) may extend to the other side surface of the back plate (21) for bonding.
