(EN)A shoe sole structure with an upper surface (10) adapted to receive and support the entire foot of the wearer, the sole structure being resilient throughout the full length of its under surface (20), having a toe portion (27) forwardly of the metatarsal arch region (15) which is easily bendable, but having a relatively stiff and rigid upper surface (10) from the metatarsal region (15) rearwardly to the heel (14). The sole structure has an elevated central pedestal (16, 21) under the instep region (13) and a separate impact pad (22) underneath the heel (14), the heel impact pad (22) being very resilient while the central pedestal has limited resiliency. In a running action the heel impact pad (22) absorbs an initial impact with the ground, the central pedestal (16, 21) then provides a rolling support for the entire foot, and finally the bending of the toe portion (27) of the sole structure provides an effective and well-controlled take-off.
(FR)Une structure d'une semelle de chaussure comprend une surface superieure (10) concue pour recevoir et supporter tout le pied de la personne chaussee, la structure de la semelle etant elastique sur toute la longueur de sa surface inferieure (20), dont la partie situee (27) en avant de la region de la voute metatarsienne (15) se plie facilement, mais ayant une surface superieure (10) relativement raide et rigide depuis la region metatarsienne (15) vers l'arriere, vers le talon (14). La structure de la semelle possede un renflement central (16, 21) sous la region de la cambrure (13) et un coussin d'impact separe (22) sous le talon (14), le coussin d'impact du talon (22) etant tres elastique tandis que le renflement central possede une elasticite limitee. Lors de la course, le coussin d'impact du talon (22) absorbe un impact initial avec le sol, le renflement central (16, 21) procure un support roulant pour tout le pied, et finalement la flexion du bout (27) de la structure de la semelle assure une prise d'elan efficace et bien controlee.
