Abstract

The motorcycle wheel comprises primarily two solid discs (3, 4) arranged symmetrically to each other at a distance which corresponds to the length of the hub (2) while forming a close hollow chamber (14). The discs (3, 4) are screwed on either side of a radial flange (10, 11)of the hub (2). Each radial flange (10, 11) of the hub (2) is located in a plane of the wheel which is slightly inside with respect to the plane defined by the top of the rim. The discs (3, 4) start from the radial flanges (10, 11) of the hub (2) obliquely inwardly up to the bottom of the rim (6, 7) where they are connected together by welding (13). The braking discs (20, 21) of two discs brakes are screwed on the radial flange (10, 11). Stiffeners (24) are arranged into the hollow chamber between the radial flanges (10, 11) and the hollow chamber (14) is filled with foam.

La roue de moto, consiste essentiellement en deux disques pleins (3, 4) disposes symetriquement l"un par rapport a l"autre a une distance qui correspond a la longueur du moyeu (2) en formant une chambre creuse fermee (14). Ces disques (3, 4) sont visses de part et d"autre sur une flasque radiale (10, 11) du moyeu (2), Chaque flasque radiale (10, 11) du moyeu (2) est situee dans un plan de la roue qui se trouve un peu a l"interieur du plan defini par le sommet de la jante. Les disques (3, 4) partent des flasques radiales (10, 11) du moyeu (2) obliquement vers l"interieur jusqu"au fond de la jante (6, 7) ou ils sont relies ensemble par une soudure (13). Les disques de freinage (20, 21) de deux freins a disque sont visses sur la flasque radiale (10, 11). Des raidisseurs (24) sont disposes dans la chambre creuse entre les flasques radiales (10, 11) et la chambre creuse (14) est remplie de mousse.
