(EN)A method and apparatus associated therewith for acquiring and maintaining a high quality communication by communication means of the type that includes a detector (54) and focusing means (70) for directing encoded incoming radiation to said detector. Means (A, B, C, D, and 72-79) are provided for determining the location of said radiation upon said detector and for generating an electrical signal responsive to said location. Said electrical signal is applied to electroluminescent means (89, 90, 92, 94) so that there is produced for the user a pattern of illumination indicating the degree of alignment of said communication means with the incoming radiation.
(FR)Procede et dispositif s'y rapportant servant a permettre la reception et le maintien d'une communication de haute qualite par des moyens de communication du type comprenant un detecteur (54) et un moyen de focalisation (70) servant a diriger la radiation codee a l'arrivee vers ledit detecteur. Des moyens (A, B, C, D, et 72-79) sont prevus pour determiner l'emplacement de ladite radiation sur ledit detecteur et pour produire un signal electrique en fonction dudit emplacement. Ce signal electrique est applique a des moyens electro-luminescents (89, 90, 92, 94) de maniere a fournir a l'utilisateur un modele de points lumineux indiquant le degre d'alignement dudit moyen de communication par rapport a la radiation recue.
