(EN)Method for the separation of low molecularweight aromatic compounds, e.g. vanillin and dehydrodivanillin, from lignin, alkali and from each other, in alkaline aqueous solutions by the aid of ion-exchange resin, for solving the problems cause by: neutralizing the alkaline solution with concurrent precipitation of the lignin; extracting low molecular aromatic compounds from large amounts of dilute solutions containing large amounts of precipitated lignin; and regenerating the ion-exchange resin after each batch. According to the method, the separation is effected by means of a cationic ion-exchange resin in its sodium salt form, e.g. of a strong sulphonic acid type or weak carbonic acid type, from which the substances adsorbed are removed by elution. The resin may be crosslinked to the extent of 2 - 16% divinylbenzene. The substances adsorbed onto the ion-exchange resin are appropriately eluted by either water alone, or by application of an aqueous sodium-salt solution, e.g. Na2CO3 followed by water.
(FR)Procede de separation de composes aromatiques de faible poids moleculaire, par exemple de la vanilline et de la dehydrodivanilline, a partir de la lignine, d"alcali et de chacune des deux, dans des solutions aqueuses alcalines au moyen d"une resine echangeuse d"ions, de facon a resoudre les problemes poses. La neutralisation de la solution alcaline avec une precipitation concurrente de la linine; l"extraction de composes aromatiques de faible poids moleculaire a partir de grandes quantites de solution diluee contenant de larges quantites de lignine precipitee; et la regeneration de la resine echangeuse d"ions apres chaque utilisation. Selon le procede, la separation est effectuee au moyen d"une resine cationique echangeuse d"ions sous sa forme de sel de sodium par exemple du type a acide sulfonique fort ou du type a acide carbonique faible, de laquelle les substances adsorbees sont extraites par elution. La resine peut etre reticulee en ajoutant de 2 a 16% de divinylbenzene. Les substances adsorbees dans la resine echangeuse d"ions sont eluees convenablement soit par de l"eau simple, soit par l"application d"une solution aqueuse d"un sel de sodium, par exemple du Na2C03, suivie par de l"eau.
