(EN)New and novel process of producing a vinyl resin latex by the emulsion polymerization technique comprising adding to the latex with thorough mixing, an aqueous solution of an electrolyte, such as, for example, ammonium carbonate, and removing a part of the water by filtration or centrifuging, and the like, to produce friable aggregates of individual spheres of polymer particles. Thereafter, the friable aggregates of polymer particles are separated into individual spheres of polymer particles by simple light rubbing or crushing and dried. In many cases, the separation can be accomplished by simple mixing of the resin with plasticizer during the plastisol preparation. Thus the spray drying and the subsequent grinding steps are eliminated producing a superior product for plastisols.
(FR)Nouveau procede original de production d'une resine vinylique latex selon la technique de polymerisation en emulsion, consistant a ajouter au latex, par melange intime, une solution aqueuse d'un electrolyte, tel que, par exemple, un carbonate d'ammonium, et a enlever une partie de l'eau par filtration ou centrifugation, de maniere a produire des aggregats friables de spheres individuelles de particules de polymere. Les aggregats friables de particules de polymere sont divises ensuite en spheres individuelles de particules de polymere par simple frottement ou leger concassage, et finalement seches. Dans la plupart des cas, la separation peut etre obtenue par simple melange de la resine avec un plastifiant pendant la preparation du plastisol. Le sechage par pulverisation et les etapes consecutives de broyage sont ainsi eliminees permettant la production d'un produit superieur pour le plastisol.
