Abstract
(EN)
A full-floating axle drive assembly for propelling a vehicle includes a shaft (10) having a splined end (14) to which a splined drive member (16) is axially and non-rotatably secured. The drive member (16) is secured to the splined end (14) of the shaft (10) between the bottom of the shaft splines (20) and a forged flange end (22). In a preferred embodiment, the shaft (10) extends through an axle tube (30) on which a wheel hub (32) is fully supported by bearings (34). The drive member (16) is secured to the wheel hub (32) which is rotated thereby about the axle tube (30).

Assemblage d'entrainement d'essieu flottant pour la propulsion d'un vehicule, comprenant un arbre (10) possedant une extremite cannelee (14) a laquelle est fixe axialement et de maniere non rotative un organe (16) cannele d'entrainement. L'organe (16) d'entrainement est fixe a l'extremite (14) cannelee de l'arbre (10) entre le fond des cannelures (20) de l'arbre et une flasque (22) d'extremite forgee. Dans une realisation preferee, l'arbre (10) s'etend au travers d'un tube (30) d'essieu sur lequel un moyeu de roue (32) est entierement maintenu par des paliers (34). L'organe d'entrainement (16) est fixe sur le moyeu de roue (32) et l'entraine en rotation autour du tube d'essieu (30).
