(EN)The device comprises stacks of plane and superposed membrane assemblies (19) consisting of a draining layer (23) arranged between upper and lower membranes (21, 22) sealingly attached at the periphery thereof. On the membrane side, these stacks are exposed to raw water and the permeate flows through channels (34) traversing said stacks. To increase the efficiency of these membranes stacks, that is to say to increase the efficiency per surface unit and per volume unit, to allow an improved extensibility of the stacks without creating mechanical tensions, to facilitate the exchange of the stacks and to obtain other advantages from the point of view of manufacture, maintenance and cost, the superposed membrane stacks alternating with spacing layers (20) burled at (51) and provided with openings (52) are arranged in an additional inner frame (8) with open ends of which the cover (14) bears only on the lower part (13) of the frame. The stack of membranes (19) is traversed by a central bolt (25) provided with an axial channel (34) and radial channels (26) leading to the interior of the stack (19).
