The method consists in checking any code combination of the said mass, in the course of reading-out, as to its correspondence to the criterion of the p-code minimal form and forming an error detection signal in case that criterion is not respected. During recording control digits are additionally carrying the information as to the evenness of the recorded information digits. Another error detection signal is formed in the course of reading-out done upon the results of checking the evenness. Where both error detection signals occur the location of errors is determined in the digits of the outcoming mass. A device for implementing the method comprises a mass data storage unit (1), providing for recording and the storage of the incoming mass data and reading-out the outcoming mass data, the information input of that unit being connected to a unit (2) for intermediate storage of the incoming mass data, whereas its information output is connected to the information input of a unit (3) for intermediate storage of the outcoming mass data which is connected, through its information output, to a unit (4) for checking the correspondence to the criterion of minimal form of p-code. The device is provided with a control digit forming unit (5) connected through its output to the unit (2), and is further provided with an evenness checking unit (6) connected through its input to the unit (3). The device is provided as well with an error locating unit (7), to the information input of which are connected the information outputs of the units (4 and 6). Thus, the signal coming from the unit (7) carries the information as to the location of errors in the digits of the outcoming mass data.

Le procede consiste a verifier toutes combinaisons de codage de ladite masse, en cours de lecture, en ce qui concerne sa correspondance au critere de la forme minimale du code p et a former un signal de detection d"erreurs dans le cas ou ce critere n"est pas respecte. En cours d"enregistrement, des chiffres de commande sont formes, et ils portent l"information concernant la parite des chiffres d"information enregistres. Un autre signal de detection d"erreurs est forme a la lecture d"apres les resultats du controle de la parite. Lorsque les deux signaux de detection d"erreurs se produisent on positionne les erreurs dans les chiffres de la masse de sortie. Un dispositif de mise en application du procede comprend une unite de stockage de donnees de masse (1), assurant l"enregistrement et le stockage des donnees de masse d"entree et la lecture des donnees de masse de sortie, l"entree des informations de cette unite etant connectee a une unite (2) de stockage intermediaire des donnees de masse d"arrivee, tandis que sa sortie d"information est connectee a l"entree d"information d"une unite (3) de stockage intermediaire des donnees de masse de sortie qui est connectee par l"intermediaire de sa sortie d"informations a une unite (4) de controle de la correspondance avec le critere de la forme minimale du code p. Le dispositif est pourvu d"une unite de formation de chiffres de commande (5) connectee par l"intermediaire de sa sortie a l"unite (2), et il est egalement pourvu d"une unite de controle de parite (6) connectee par l"intermediaire de son entree a l"unite (3). Le dispositif est egalement pourvu d"une unite de positionnement d"erreurs (7), a l"entree d"informations a laquelle sont connectees les sorties d"informations des unites (4 et 6). Ainsi, le signal provenant de l"unite (7) porte l"information concernant la position des erreurs dans les chiffres des donnees en masse de sortie.
