(EN)With the object of facilitating the terminal guidance of the projectile or increasing the effect of an explosive charge with a hollow-charge effect carried by the projectile, the projectile is provided with stabilizing fins (6-9) which are extended at a desired point in the trajectory of the projectile and brake the rotation of the projectile. The projectile is so dimensioned that its centre of pressure (C2) is situated behind the centre of gravity (G) of the projectile in the extended position of the fins (Figure 2) and so that the centre of pressure (C1) lies in front of the centre of gravity of the projectile in the retracted position of the fins (Figure 1), so that, with braked rotation, the projectile changes over from being spin-stabilized to being fin-stabilized. The fins (6-9), which can consist of so-called wraparound fins, are held in the retracted position, in an embodiment shown, by means of covering plates (2-5) which are held in place by a so-called base bleed unit (1). A delay device is adapted to be separated from the projectile at said desired point in the trajectory, so that the covering plates (2-5) are removed and expose the fins (6-9), as a result of which these can be extended.
(FR)Dans le but de faciliter le guidage final du projectile ou d"ameliorer l"effet d"une charge explosive avec un effet de charge creuse portee par le projectile, celui-ci est pourvu d"ailettes de stabilisation (6-9) qui se deplacent en un point desire de la trajectoire du projectile et freinent sa rotation. Le projectile est dimensionne de maniere telle que son centre de pression (C2) soit situe derriere le centre de gravite (G) dans la position deployee des ailettes et de maniere telle que le centre de pression (C1) se trouve devant le centre de gravite du projectile en position retractee des ailettes pour que, avec le freinage de la rotation, le projectile passe d"une stabilisation par rotation a une stabilisation par ailettes. Les ailettes (6-9), qui peuvent consister en des ailettes enroulees autour du projectile, sont maintenues en position retractee (figure 1) au moyen de plaques de couverture (2-5) qui sont maintenues en place par un dispositif de base de purge (1). Un dispositif de retardement est adapte pour etre separe du projectile au point desire de la trajectoire, de sorte que les plaques de couverture (2-5) soient degagees et que les ailettes (6-9) soient liberees de maniere a pouvoir se deployer.
