(EN)In these head-phones, which are provided with an orthodynamically actuated membrane, the airtight closing of the connecting space of the ear-phone is not effected and the connection to the ear is achieved by means of a pad made of cross-linked foam (1) which limits, at least laterally, the connecting space, the accoustic friction resistance of which being, when it is applied against the user"s ear (2) or head, approximately of the same magnitude as the transformed characteristic impedance of air, so that the membrane (3) may work essentially with a slow-down due to friction and that a critical damping of the membrane"s resonance (70-300 Hz), which is within the range of the low frequencies, may be achieved.
