(EN)Effects of multipath fading and Doppler frequency spread in a single sideband radio communication system are largely overcome by separating (17) from a received signal spectrum, a pilot frequency component including those effects and using that component to accomplish both phase (36) and gain (38) corrections on an information-containing frequency component. Signals essentially free of those effects are provided (10) for controlling necessary frequency translations in the receiver. One illustrative embodiment (FIG. 4) is conveniently arranged or facilitating diversity signal combining.
(FR)Le probleme des effets de chute de niveau a voies multiples et de frequence Doppler propages dans un systeme de communication radio a bande laterale simple est resolu en separant (17) d"un spectre de signaux recus, une composante de frequence pilote comprenant ces effets et en utilisant cette composante pour effectuer a la fois les corrections de phase (36) et de gain (38) sur une composante de frequence contenant des informations. Les signaux sensiblement exempts de ces effets sont envoyes (10) pour commander les translations de frequences necessaires dans le recepteur. Un mode de realisation (Fig. 4) est concu de maniere appropriee pour faciliter la combinaison de signaux de diversite.
