(EN)In caliper brakes, the operation of the device has caused the disk rotor to vibrate and generate objectionable noise since the rotors are usually made of one piece of material. The object of this invention is to make a brake which avoids objectionable noise during operation. The brake includes a fixed support (15) having a torque plate (16) secured thereto. The torque plate (16) slidably supports a caliper (26) which acts upon brake pads (39, 40) and (41, 42) to force the pads against a rotor (27). The rotor (27) is made from at least two disk portions (29, 30) which are secured together at spaced locations (33, 35) to form a structurally integral rotor (27). However, because of the axial discontinuity, the assembly acts as a barrier to the transmission of vibration from one disk portion to the other during braking.
(FR)Dans des freins a pince, le fonctionnement du dispositif fait vibrer le disque-rotor en faisant un bruit desagreable, etant donne que les rotors sont generalement faits en une seule piece. L"objet est de produire un frein qui evite un tel bruit pendant son fonctionnement. Le frein comprend un support fixe (15) ayant une plaque de couple (16) fixee sur celui-ci. Le rotor (27) est constitue par au moins deux portions de disques (29, 30) qui sont fixes ensemble en des emplacements espaces (33, 35) pour former un rotor a structure solidaire (27). Cependant, a cause de la discontinuite axiale, l"assemblage joue le role d"une barriere vis a vis de la transmission des vibrations d"une portion de disques a l"autre pendant le freinage.
