(EN)Hydroponic plant growing apparatus (10) wherein a nutrient enriched liquid is flowed within a series of ducts (14) adapted to mount a plurality of planting cups (20), each of which support a sterile media (22) and a plant seedling (24). The planting cup (20) includes an apertured bottom surface which permits capillary action of the nutrient liquid into the support media as well as allows the root system (26) of each plant (24) to extend into the duct (14) yet isolates the sterile media (22) from direct flow contact with the nutrient liquid. The individual plant cups (20) eliminate contamination of the nutrient liquid, facilitate easy removal and replacement of individual plants (24) on the apparatus (10), and form an effective seal with the ducts (14) yielding a substantially hermetically sealed apparatus (10) which is not susceptible to rain contamination, evaporation, or algae growth.
