Abstract

A signal generator (50A) for producing, from a low voltage power supply, relatively large magnitude pulse signals of opposite polarity to a device (10) input terminal having a parallel resistor (11)-capacitor (12) circuit connection to a reference voltage is disclosed. A voltage multiplier (52) powered by the low voltage power supply provides a multiplied voltage output which is stored on a first large capacitor (58). A second large capacitor (59) has one terminal connected to the device (10) input terminal. To produce the large, opposite polarity signals, a control circuit means operates in conjunction with the voltage multiplier (52) and the first capacitor (58) to produce a predetermined sequence of voltages on the second terminal of the second capacitor (59).

Un generateur de signaux (50A) envoie, a partir d"une source d"alimentation de puissance a basse tension, des signaux d"impulsion d"intensite relativement grande de polarite opposee a une borne d"entree d"un dispositif (10) ayant une connexion d"un circuit resistance (11)-condensateur (12) en parallele a une tension de reference. Un multiplicateur de tension (52) alimente par la source d"alimentation a basse tension produit une sortie de tension multipliee qui est emmagasinee sur un premier condensateur a grande capacite (58). Un second condensateur a grande capacite (59) possede une borne connectee a la borne d"entree du dispositf (10). Pour produire les signaux de polarite opposee de grande intensite, un circuit de commande fonctionne conjointement avec le multiplicateur de tensions (52) et le premier condensateur (58) pour produire une sequence predeterminee de tensions sur la seconde borne du second condensateur (59).
