(EN)Electric power generation apparatus comprises a closed circuit through which a working fluid such as carbon dioxide is conducted in a working cycle such as the Rankine cycle between a hot and a cold reservoir which receive heat from their environment and are capable of releasing heat isothermally. In one embodiment a hot reservoir (101) of water under natural environmental conditions at or immediately above 0 C releases its latent heat of fusion to boil the working fluid. A cold reservoir (120) of a eutectic salt/ice slurry at - 22 C also under natural environmental conditions provides a supply of slurry for cooling the working fluid in the condenser (119), ice in the slurry being melted by extracting its latent heat of fusion from the working fluid.
(FR)Un appareil de production d"energie electrique comprend un circuit ferme au travers duquel un fluide de travail tel que du gaz carbonique est conduit dans un cycle de travail tel que le cycle Rankine entre un reservoir chaud et un reservoir froid qui recoivent de la chaleur provenant de leur environnement et sont capables de degager de la chaleur de maniere isotherme. Dans un mode de realisation un reservoir chaud (101) d"eau dans des conditions ambiantes naturelles a 0 C ou immediatement au-dessus degage sa chaleur latente de fusion pour faire bouillir le fluide de travail. Un reservoir froid (120) d"une boue eutectique sel/glace a -22 C egalement dans des conditions ambiantes naturelles produit une alimentation en boue de refroidissement du fluide de travail dans le condensateur (119), la glace dans la boue etant fondue par extraction de la chaleur de fusion latente du fluide de travail.
