Title (EN) ULTRASONIC DIAGNOSTIC EQUIPMENT
(FR) MATERIEL DE DIAGNOSTIC A ULTRASONS
Abstract: front page image
(EN)Ultrasonic diagnostic equipment is adapted for observation of the internal state of an object, such as the human body, by irradiating the object with ultrasonic waves and receiving acoustic waves produced in the object thereby. The equipment includes a plurality of probe units separately arrayed, each of which has an electro-acoustic transducer, a transmitter circuit for providing nearly simultaneous radiations of ultrasonic waves through the probe units, each of which waves possesses properties different from the others, and a receiver circuit for receiving acoustic waves produced by the ultrasonic waves radiated through the probe units so as to deliver acoustic signals, which receiver circuit is equipped with filters each of which extracts separately an acoustic signal possessing the properties corresponding to those possessed by one of the ultrasonic waves. Each of the probe units scans the object along plural scanning lines by using an ultrasonic wave so as to pick up acoustic images corresponding to each scanning line.
