(EN)A synchronous universal joint for transmitting rotating motion from a drive shaft to a driven shaft with the same angular speed as the drive shaft, comprises, for example, an outer race (10) provided at the side of the drive shaft (1), an inner race (20) provided at the side of the driven shaft (2), and a plurality of ball elements (3) interposed via a cage member (4) between the inner and the outer races (10) and (20). The inner race (20) has an outer spherical surface (22) and a plurality of ball grooves (21) formed at a plurality of peripheral positions on the outer peripheral surface (22), said grooves (21) being arranged along a curve having a center at the position (B) axially separated from the center (C) of the outer peripheral surface at the bottom in axial cross section. The inner race is provided by the steps of forming the ball grooves of desired shape and outer peripheral surface with respect to the generally-axial half portion (11) side and forming the ball grooves of desired shape and outer peripheral surface with respect to the residual half (12) side.

La voie de roulement interne est amenagee en formant les rainures a billes de forme desiree et la surface peripherique externe par rapport a la moitie axiale (11) et en formant les rainures a billes de forme desiree et la surface peripherique externe par rapport a l"autre moitie (12).
