(EN)The mechanism comprises a steering wheel mounted on the steering column as well as a shock proof central part on which are arranged the indicating instruments and the driving elements; the central part which may be seen by the driver is arranged within the steering wheel before its spokes. In order to prevent the central part (2) from rotating with steering wheel which is fixed to the steering shaft (7) by means of at least one spoke (10), said center part is coupled with a fixed construction element of the vehicule (8) through at least two coupling devices (11); the coupling devices move with one portion (10, 12) connected to the steering wheel (1); at least one coupling device (11) is in the coupling position, while the other coupling device is allowed to come out of the coupling position by means of a passage provided in one spoke (10) of the steering wheel.
(FR)Le mecanisme comporte un volant de direction monte sur la colonne de direction ainsi qu"une partie centrale anti-choc sur laquelle sont disposes les instruments indicateurs et les elements de manoeuvre; la partie centrale pouvant etre vue par le conducteur est disposee a l"interieur du volant en avant de ses rayons. Afin d"eviter que la partie centrale (2) ne tourne avec le volant qui est fixe a l"arbre de direction (7) au moins par un rayon (10), celle-ci est couplee avec un element de construction fixe du vehicule (8) par l"intermediaire d"au moins deux dispositifs d"accouplement (11); les dispositifs d"accouplement sont mobiles avec une partie (10, 12) liee au volant (1); au moins un dispositif d"accouplement (11) se trouve dans la position d"accouplement, pendant qu"un autre dispositif d"accouplement peut sortir de la position d"accouplement au moyen d"un passage fait dans un rayon du volant (10).
