Abstract

This method of synthesizing urea comprises the steps of introducing into a first heater (3) the distillate of a reactor (2) containing urea, ammonium carbonate, excess ammonia and water, separating the excess ammonia and decomposing the ammonium carbonate to separate them from the liquid phase, then introducing the distillate of the heater (3) into a second heater (6), separating the excess residual ammonia in the presence of stock carbon dioxide to be utilized as a stripping gas and decomposing the ammonium carbonate to separate them from the liquid phase, delivering the liquid distillate of the second heater (6) a urea solution refining step under low pressure, and returning gaseous distillate separated in the first and second heaters to the reactor (2).

Cette methode de synthese de l"uree consiste a introduire dans un premier rechauffeur (3) le produit de distillation d"un reacteur (2) contenant de l"uree, du carbonate d"ammonium, de l"ammoniaque en exces et de l"eau, a separer l"ammoniaque en exces et a decomposer le carbonate d"ammonium pour les separer de la phase liquide, puis a introduire le produit de distillation du rechauffeur (3) dans un second rechauffeur (6), a separer l"ammoniaque residuel en exces en presence d"acide carbonique concentre utilise comme gaz extraction et a decomposer le carbonate d"ammonium pour les separer de la phase liquide, a amener le produit de distillation liquide du second rechauffeur (6) dans une phase de raffinage de solution d"uree a basse pression, et a renvoyer le produit de distillation gazeux separe dans le premier et le second rechauffeur au reacteur (2).
