(EN)Methods and apparatus for recording and reproducing TV video signals of an image on photographic film (20), the developed film is a directly viewable reproduction of the image scanned to produce the video signals recorded. There is a need for such systems, especially in the medical screening and diagnosis fields, which provide the following features alternative viewing methods, large storage capability, quick access, and low cost viewing equipment. The invention consists of a modulated laser beam which conducts a raster scan synchronized by standard TV sync pulses and used to expose the photographic film (20). Horizontal (62) and vertical (64) sync bars of contrasting optical density are recorded beyond the borders of the raster. To reproduce the video signals, an unmodulated laser beam conducts a raster scan of the developed image recorded on the film. The intensity of the scanning beam is modulated by the optical density of the film and converted to amplitude modulated electrical signals. The optically recorded sync bars are also detected and are used to produce electrical sync pulses to position the raster scan conducted by the unmodulated beam to substantially overlie the image recorded on the film being scanned.
(FR)Methodes et appareils d"enregistrement et de reproduction de signaux video de television d"une image sur un film photographique (20), le film developpe etant une reproduction directement visualisable de l"image analysee pour produire les signaux video enregistres. De tels systemes sont necessaires, specialement dans les domaines d"affichage et de diagnostics medicaux. De tels systemes possedent les caracteristiques suivantes: methode de visualisation alternative, grande capacite d"emmagasinage, acces rapide, et equipement de visualisation de faible cout. L"invention consiste en un rayon laser module qui conduit un balayage recurrent synchronise par des impulsions de synchronisation de television standard et utilise pour exposer le film photographique (20). Les barres de synchronisation horizontale (62) et verticale (64) de densite optique de contraste sont enregistrees au-dela des limites du canevas.
