(EN)An electronic organ or the like is provided with a plurality of frequency generators (82, 84, 86, Fig. 5) greatly less than the number of keys on the organ. Each generator is capable of producing an electrical oscillation of proper frequency for any musical note on the organ keyboard. The frequency generators are assigned to the desired frequency called for by depression of any key. Pulses are dropped (40, 50, 58, Fig. 3; 68, Fig. 4; 106, 106a, 106b, Fig. 5) preferably in different numbers (134, 136, 140, Fig. 6) from the frequency generators (124, 126, 128, 130, 132, Fig. 6) to avoid locking of oscillators to one another, either in octave or any harmonic relation.
