Abstract:
(EN) Non-contact supersonic flaw detection is carried out as follows: focussing a pulsed laser beam having a wave length in the infra-red region via a lens (3), projecting the beam upon a specimen (4), allowing ultrasonic waves generated by the impact of the incident beam to propagate through the specimen (4), and detecting the ultrasonic waves by an electromagnetic ultrasonic probe (5) thereby to test for flaws (6) in the specimen.
(FR) La detection supersonique des defauts sans contact s"effectue de la maniere suivante: mise au point d"un rayon laser pulse ayant une longueur d"onde situee dans la zone des infrarouges par l"intermediaire d"une lentille (3), projection du rayon sur un specimen (4), propagation a travers le specimen (4) des ondes ultrasoniques produites par l"impact du rayon incident, et detection des ondes ultrasoniques par une sonde ultrasonique electromagnetique (5) pour ainsi detecter les defectuosites (6) dans le specimen.
