(EN)An electrophoretically con concentrating apparatus containing a membrane material as a support, wherein a separating support (3) comprising a water-retaining membrane electrically connected to one electrode (5a) of a DC power source is wet and swollen with a buffer (A) containing leading ion and, at the same time, supports (7c) and (9) comprising a water-retaining material are wet and swollen with, respectively, a buffer (C) containing following ion and another buffer containing leading ion and being different in pH from the buffer for said separating support. In using the apparatus, a sample solution is applied to the center of said support (9) in a linear form, and both ends thereof are connected to supports (3) and (7c) as illustrated, whereby the total system is under electric conduction. The sample gradually migrates to the electrode (5a), during which it is sandwiched between interfaces formed by the leading ion and the following ion on support (9), thus being once concentrated, then separated with a good accuracy as it migrates to support (3).
(FR)Un appareil a concentration electrophoretique contient une membrane-support, dans lequel un support de separation (3) comprenant une membrane de retenue d"eau connectee electriquement a une electrode (5a) d"une source d"alimentation a courant continu est mouillee et gonflee avec un tampon (A) contenant des ions conducteurs et, en meme temps, des supports (7c) et (9) comprenant un materiau de retenue d"eau sont mouilles et gonfles avec, respectivement, un tampon (C) contenant des ions suiveurs et un autre tampon contenant des ions conducteurs et ayant un pH different du tampon pour ledit support de separation. Une solution echantillon est appliquee au centre dudit support (9) de maniere lineaire, et ses deux extremites sont connectees aux supports (3) et (7c) comme illustre, ce qui etablit une conduction electrique dans tout le systeme. L"echantillon emigre graduellement vers l"electrode (5a), et au cours de son transport, il est pris en sandwich entre les interfaces formees par les ions conducteurs et les ions suiveurs sur le support (9), etant ainsi une fois concentre, puis separe avec une bonne precision pendant son transport vers le support (3).
