(EN)A continuous extraction system for countercurrent chromatography to achieve continuous solvent extraction, is disclosed wherein two immiscible solvents move in opposite directions through a rotating helical column (11). The coiled tube (11) has two pairs of flow connecting tubes, IF and IC to respectively feed and collect phase 1, and IIF and IIC to respectively feed and collect phase II. Elution of a desired phase takes place by use of a separation device at the head end which selects either the heavier or the lighter phase. This may consist of a suitably weighted suspended outlet tube (18) of Figure 2 in a rotating cylindrical outlet chamber (16) or may consist of a shunt "S" and settling chamber (40 of Figure 6) located outside the rotating part; the heavier phase may be removed from the bottom and the lighter phase may be removed from the top.
(FR)Dans un systeme d"extraction continu pour la chromatographie a contre-courant pour obtenir une extraction continue de solvants, deux solvants non miscibles se deplacent en directions opposees a travers une colonne helicoidale rotative (11). Le tube helicoidal (11) presente deux paires de tubes de derivation, IF et IC pour respectivement alimenter et recueillir la phase I, et IIF et IIC pour alimenter et recueillir la phase II. La separation et la phase desiree s"obtient au moyen d"un dispositif de separation a l"extremite de tete qui selectionne la phase lourde ou la phase legere. Ce dispositif peut consister en un tube de sortie (18) convenablement equilibre dans une chambre de sortie cylindrique rotative (16), ou peut etre constitue par une derivation "s" et une chambre de stabilisation (40) situee en dehors de la partie rotative; la phase lourde peut etre extraite du fond et la phase legere de la partie superieure.
