(EN)Process for butt-joining of two metal strips coated on at least one face of a thermoplastic polymer film. (FR)Procede de raboutage de deux feuillards d"un metal revetu sur au moins une face d"un film de polymere thermoplastique. On decolle le film sur une certaine longueur de "extremite de chaque feuillard (1A, 1B) par immersion dans un solvant bouillant et l"enleve, on soude les extremites des deux feuillards, on applique sur la zone denudee un film (17, 18) de polyethylene haute densite et resine ionomere et l"y fait adherer par chauffage sous pression; dispositif de mise en oeuvre. Application au raboutage du conducteur de retour externe de cables sous-marins de telecommunications.
