Abstract:
(EN) A food product having a high protein content of good nutritional profile and substantially without fiber, fats, or oils is made from grain in storage (16) that has been malted and subjected to a mashing operation in tub (14) to remove fermentable sugars. The grain so treated is dried by microwave heating in (18) and (22) and is subjected from supply (27) to liquid nitrogen to reduce the temperature of the grain greatly while subjecting the grain to mechanical action by rollers (28) to remove the husks. The fats and oils are removed by a solvent in extractor (33) after which the remaining granular material may be ground to a flour in grinder (36).
(FR) Un produit alimentaire ayant une teneur elevee en proteines, de bonnes caracteristiques nutritives et pratiquement sans fibres, graisses ou huiles, est fabrique a partir du grain emmagasine (16) qui a ete converti en malt et reduit en bouillie dans une cuve (14) pour enlever les sucres fermentables. Le grain ainsi traite est seche par un chauffage a micro-ondes dans (18) et (22) et la temperature du grain est reduite considerablement par refroidissement a l"aide d"azote liquide, provenant de l"alimentation (27) le grain etant soumis a une action mecanique au moyen de rouleaux (28) pour enlever les enveloppes. Les graisses et les huiles sont extraites a l"aide d"un solvant dans un extracteur (33), apres quoi le materiau granulaire restant peut etre moulu dans un moulin (36).
