Abstract:
(EN) A padding alloy based on nickel comprising 0.05-1.5% by weight of boron, 3-7% by weight of silicon, 7.5-35% by weight of chromium, 0.05-1.5% by weight of carbon, if desired, with the addition of at most 30% by weight of iron or at most 5% by weight of tungsten or both, the remainder being substantially nickel, the weight ratio of said silicon to said boron being at least 3.3. This alloy is high in toughness and has no fear of cracks in padded layers, and further has high wear-resistance and corrosion-resistance. The corrosion resistance of this alloy may be remarkably improved by the addition of 0.1-3% by weight of tin or 0.1-3% by weight of tantalum or both. This alloy is adapted to be used for padding alloys for parts of various kinds of plants, machines or equipements.
(FR) Un alliage de garniture a base de nickel comprenant de 0,05% a 1,5% en poids de bore, de 3% a 7% en poids de silicium, de 7,5% a 35% en poids de chrome, de 0,05% a 1,5% en poids de carbone avec, si necessaire, 30% en poids au plus de fer ou 5% en poids au plus de tungstene ou les deux, le reste se composant substantiellement de nickel, le rapport de poids du silicium au bore etant d"au moins 3:3. Cet alliage est tres resistant et ne pre pas de fissures dans les couches de garnitures, et de plus possede une grande resistance a l"usure et a la corrosion. La resistance a la corrosion de cet alliage peut etre considerablement amelioree en ajoutant de 0,1% a 3% en poids d"etain ou de 0,1% a 3% en poids de tantale ou les deux. Cet alliage est utilisable comme alliage de garniture pour des pieces de machines ou d"equipement.
