(EN)Electrolytic cell, especially for chloralkali electrolysis, comprising an anode (1) disposed in an electrolyte room (2) and at least one air electrode (3) with an inner space (20), said air electrode being separated from the anode by means of a diaphragm or membrane (17). The air electrode comprises a layer (18) of an electrocatalytically active material, said layer being directly disposed onto the diaphragm or the membrane (17) or constituting an integrated part thereof. The layer (18) is hydrophobic but nevertheless permeable for the electrode so that it can penetrate into the inner space (20) of the air electrode (3) to be collected therein. The layer (18) of the electrocatalytically active material is in contact with process air in the inner space (20).
(FR)Une cellule a electrolyse, specialement concue pour l"electrolyse chloroalcaline, comprend une anode (1) disposee dans une enceinte d"electrolyse (2) et au moins une electrode a air (3) ayant un espace interne (20), ladite electrode a air etant separee de l"anode au moyen d"un diaphragme ou d"une membrane (17). L"electrode a air comprend une couche (18) d"un materiau presentant une activite electrocatalytique, cette couche etant appliquee directement sur le diaphragme ou sur la membrane (17) ou faisant partie integrante de ce dernier. La couche (18) est hydrophobe mais elle est permeable a l"electrolyte pour que celui-ci puisse penetrer dans l"espace interne (20) de l"electrode a air (3) et y etre recupere. La couche (18) de materiau presentant une activite electrocatalytique est en contact avec l"air de reaction dans l"espace interne (20).
