(EN)The brake is provided with an arm (2) comprising a spur (3) and an actuating rod. A coil spring (18) is fixed to the arm (2). The arm (2) and the coil spring (18) surround a guiding cam (10) fixed to the ski (1). When the arm (2) is brought from the braking position to the neutral position parallel to the ski, a force is generated within the elastic element (17) which tends to bring the arm (2) into the braking position. The brake may comprise two braking arms (2) which are connected by the actuating rod. The stirrup thus obtained is pivoted on the guiding cam (10) by means of a coil spring (18) of which the ends (19, 20) are fixed respectively to the arm (2) and to supporting levers (12) supporting the guiding cams (10). The end of the guiding cam (10), which is directed against the ski (1) is shaped as a bearing which bears a shaped-arm hoop (8) so that the spur is onset of a value (31) with respect to the central part (5) of the arm (2). A guide (30) arranged close to the guiding cam (10) is in contact with the arms (2) of the stirrup which is narrower than the ski (1), said arms being held against the guide (30) during then pivoting. The guide (30) is inclined towards the inside so as to allow the displacement of the spur towards the inside in the neutral position. Owing to the eccentricity value (31) of the spur (3) and owing to the maintaining of the arm (2) by the guide (30), the spur (3) is situated, in the neutral position, above and within the longitudinal edge of the ski so as to avoid practically any contact with the surface of the snow.
(FR)Le frein est muni d"un bras (2) comprenant un eperon (3) et une tige d"actionnement. Un ressort a boudin (18) est fixe au bras (2). Le bras (2) et le ressort (18) entourent une came de guidage (10) fixee au ski (1). Lorsque le bras (2) est amene de la position de freinage dans la position de repos parallele au ski, une force est creee dans l"element elastique (17) qui tend a amener le bras (2) dans la position de freinage. Le frein peut etre agence avec deux bras de freinage (2) qui sont relies par la tige d"actionnement. L"etrier ainsi obtenu est pivote sur la came de guidage (10) au moyen d"un ressort a boudin (18) dont les extremites (19, 20) sont fixes respectivement au bras (2) et a des leviers de support (12) supportant les cames de guidage (10). L"extremite de la came de guidage (10), qui est dirigee contre le ski (1), est conformee en palier, sur lequel s"appuie un arceau (8) en forme de bras, ce qui a pour resultat que l"eperon est excentre d"une valeur (31) par rapport a la partie centrale (5) du bras (2). Un guide (30) est dispose a cote de la came de guidage (10) avec lequel les bras (2) de l"etrier qui est moins large que le ski (1), sont en contact et contre lequel ils sont maintenus lors de leur pivotement. Le guide (30) est incline vers l"interieur pour que l"eperon se deplace vers l"interieur dans la position de repos. Grace a l"excentricite de l"eperon (3) de la valeur (31) et grace au maintien du bras (2) par le guide (30), l"eperon (3) est ue, dans la position de repos, au-dessus et a l"interieur de l"arete longitudinale du ski de facon a eviter pratiquement tout contact avec la surface de la neige.
