Abstract:
(EN) A machine for smoothing and/or polishing lenses has a holder (8) which is carried on a slide (24). The slide is guided for movement in two mutually perpendicular directions, both of which are perpendicular to a main axis (27) of the machine. The slide is moved in a plane perpendicular to the main axis along a curved path which results from the combination of two orbital motions produced by cams (32, 35). One cam (32) is secured to the main shaft (28) and rotary motion is transmitted to the other cam (35) by an element (33) which rotates about the axis of the main shaft and is driven from the main shaft through a transmission means which has a velocity differing from unity.
(FR) Une machine d"adoucissement et/ou de polissage de lentilles possede un support (8) qui est porte par une coulisse (24). La coulisse est guidee pour en assurer le deplacement dans deux directions perpendiculaires, qui sont toutes deux perpendiculaires a un axe principal (27) de la machine. La coulisse se deplace dans un plan perpendiculaire a l"axe principal le long d"une trajectoire courbe resultant de la combinaison de deux mouvements orbitaux produits a l"aide de cames (32, 35). Une came (32) est fixee sur l"arbre principal (28) et un mouvement de rotation est transmis a l"autre came (35) par un element (33) qui tourne autour de l"axe de l"arbre principal et qui est entraine a partir de l"arbre principal par l"intermediaire de moyens de transmission avec un rapport de vitesse different de l"unite.
