Abstract:
(EN) In the field of metallurgy, specifically processes for recovering uranium from wet process phosphoric acid solution derived from the acidulation of uraniferous phosphate ores, problems of imbalance of iron exchange agents, contamination of recycled phosphoric acid with process organics and oxidizing agents, and loss and contamination of uranium product, are solved by removing organics from the raffinate after iron exchange conversion of uranium to uranous form and recovery thereof by ion exchange, and returning organics to the circuit to balance mono and disubstituted ester ion exchange agents; then oxidatively stripping uranium from the agent using hydrogen peroxide; then after ion exchange recovery of uranyl and scrubbing, stripping with sodium carbonate and acidifying the strip solution and using some of it for said scrubbing; regenerating the sodium loaded agent and recycling it to the uranous recovery step. Economic recovery of uranium as a by-product of phosphate fertilizer production is effected.
(FR) Dans le domaine de la metallurgie, plus particulierement en ce qui concerne les procedes de recuperation d"uranium a partir d"une solution d"acide phosphorique issue d"un procede humide provenant d"un minerai phosphate uranifere on doit resoudre les problemes suivants: le desequilibre des agents d"echange de fer, la contamination de l"acide phosphorique recycle avec des matieres organiques impliquees dans le processus et avec des agents oxydants; la perte de l"uranium et sa contamination. Pour ce faire, on enleve les matieres organiques du produit a traiter, apres conversion d"uranium a l"etat uraneux au moyen d"agents echangeurs d"ions contenant du fer. L"uranium est ensuite recupere par echange d"ions. On recycle les matieres organiques dans le circuits pour equilibrer les esters mono et bi-substitues constituant les agents d"echange ioniques. On extrait ensuite par oxydation l"uranium de l"agent au moyen de peroxyde d"hydrogene. L"uranyl est recupere par echange d"ions et on procede a une purification. On fait ensuite une extraction au moyen de carbonate de sodium et on acidifie la solution d"extraction. On utilise une partie de cette derniere pour ladite purification. L"agent charge de sodium est regenere et recycle vers l"etape de recuperation de l"uranium a l"etat uraneux. Application pour la recuperation economique de l"uranium en tant que sous-produit de fabrication d"engrais phosphate.
