Title (EN) ENCAPSULATING PROCESS OF A CERAMIC PIECE
(FR) PROCEDE D"ENCAPSULATION D"UNE PIECE EN CERAMIQUE
Abstract:
(EN) The process aims at encapsulating a ceramic piece, more particularly a silicon ceramic piece, in order to subject this piece to a hot isostatic pressing without infiltration into the piece pores of the medium which transmits the pressure. The piece is previously evacuated and then filled with nitrogen (N2) and finally immersed into melted silicon. The filling of the piece with nitrogen is carried out preferably under high pressure. After applying the silicon to the piece, an outside pressure can be exerted on the silicon.
