Abstract

A method, apparatus, and system for providing electronic registered mail (“ERM”) are disclosed. An example apparatus includes an interface to receive, from a sender server, recipient information for creating ERM for sending to a recipient and ERM content for the ERM. The apparatus also includes a processor that creates an ERM notification message for the recipient by including a recipient name, a recipient physical address, and instructions for verification of the recipient, and transmits the ERM notification message to a recipient email address. The processor later receives verification information from a user device of the recipient, and compares the verification information to at least some of the recipient information. If the comparison is positive, the processor causes the ERM content to be provided to the recipient. However, if the comparison is negative, the processor prevents the ERM content from being provided to the recipient.
