An electronic paper display device comprises a layer of multi-stable material and one or more electrodes on one face of the layer of multi-stable material. Each electrode is electrically contactable on its underside through the layer of multi-stable material so that all electrodes in the electronic paper display device are electrically contactable on a single face of the electronic paper display device.
