Abstract
(EN) New data center heat removal systems and methods allow a combination of active and passive thermal processes for removing heat from and cooling air in data center environments. Systems and methods include a data center heat removal system including an adjustable thermal feed cold air intake system, a distribution system for cold and warm air including one or more hot aisles and one or more cold aisles, and a convection system to draw cool air through data center equipment using a naturally- occurring convection processes to expel hot air. Misters, cooling elements, and/or freezer boxes may further cool the intake of air. A controller is programmed to efficiently manage and control the climate (e.g., temperature, humidity, air flow, pressure, air quality, etc.) within a data center to minimize the use for energy for air distribution and cooling.
(FR) L’invention concerne de nouveaux systèmes et procédés d’extraction de chaleur de centre de données qui permettent une combinaison de processus thermiques actifs et passifs pour l’extraction de chaleur depuis et l’injection d’air de refroidissement dans des environnements de centre de données. Ces systèmes et ces procédés incluent un système d’extraction de chaleur de centre de données incluant un système d’admission d’air froid à alimentation thermique réglable, un système de distribution d’air froid et chaud incluant un ou plusieurs couloirs chauds et un ou plusieurs couloirs froids, et un système de convection pour aspirer l’air froid à travers l’équipement de centre de données au moyen de processus de convection se produisant naturellement pour expulser l’air chaud. Des brumisateurs, des éléments réfrigérants, et/ou des boîtiers congélateurs peuvent en outre refroidir l’admission d’air.
