Abstract
(EN) The present invention relates to a method for measuring growth hormone level in a human or animal subject, including a method of assessing pituitary-related growth hormone deficiency in a human or animal subject. The method comprises oral administration of a macimorelin containing composition to said subject, collecting one, two or three post- administration samples within a range of 25 to 95 minutes after administration from said subject, and comparing the level of growth hormone in the single sample, the two or three samples to a single threshold value. The method can be used for diagnosing pituitary- related growth hormone deficiency when the all levels of determined growth hormone are below the single threshold value.
(FR) La présente invention concerne une méthode de mesure du taux d'hormone de croissance chez un sujet humain ou animal, comprenant une méthode d'évaluation d'une déficience en hormone de croissance liée à l'hypophyse chez un sujet humain ou animal. La méthode comprend l'administration orale d'une composition contenant de la macimoréline audit sujet, la collecte d'un, de deux ou de trois échantillons après l'administration dans une plage de 25 à 95 minutes après l'administration à partir dudit sujet, et la comparaison du taux d'hormone de croissance dans l'échantillon unique, les deux ou trois échantillons à une valeur de seuil unique. La méthode peut être utilisée pour diagnostiquer une déficience en hormone de croissance liée à l'hypophyse lorsque tous les taux d'hormone de croissance déterminée sont au-dessous de la valeur de seuil unique.
