Abstract
(EN) A method for estimating a gaze direction at which a user is looking at, comprising: a1 ) a step of retrieving a geometric model of at least one user's eye, defined by a set of parameters (U); and then, during a test phase: b1 ) obtaining observation data (X, Λ) from at least one image, each image including at least one user's eye; b3-b4) given said geometric model, determining the visual and/or optical axis of the eye (o, v) which is most likely to produce said observation data; (b5) using said visual and/or optical axis to retrieve said gaze direction.
(FR) L'invention concerne un procédé pour estimer une direction de regard, dans laquelle regarde un utilisateur, comprenant : a1) une étape consistant à récupérer un modèle géométrique d'au moins un œil d'un utilisateur, défini par un ensemble de paramètres (U) ; puis, pendant une phase de test : b1) obtenir des données d'observation (X, Λ) à partir d'au moins une image, chaque image comprenant au moins un œil de l'utilisateur ; b3-b4) compte tenu dudit modèle géométrique, déterminer l'axe optique et/ou visuel de l’œil (o, v) qui est le plus susceptible de produire lesdites données d'observation ; (b5) utiliser ledit axe optique et/ou visuel pour récupérer ladite direction de regard.
