Abstract
(EN) 615130 Discloses the use of a water-based extract derived from Olive (Olea europaea) leaves for oral administration to reduce symptoms associated with type 2 diabetes, wherein the extract contains 0.5-2.0 parts hydroxytyrosol to 5 parts oleuropein and where the olive leaf extract (OLE) is produced by immersing the leaves in water at a temperature of approximately 80-100 degrees Celsius for 30-180 minutes.
